Mixed dal form dhaba style.

 

Mixed dal form is made more healthy and protein rich as it features 5 different dals or lentils.. A good blend dal tadka dhaba style is a dish you'll savor always. Lentils are very easy to digest and as well as cheap. A packet lasts long and makes multiple refections. 

You can make variety of dishes with lentils and noway get wearied. This easy dal form is freehandedly garnished with a tempering of dry red chillies, cumin seeds and asafoetida. This deliciously cooked Dal is made with onions, garlic- gusto, tomatoes and is seasoned impeccably with swab, red chilli greasepaint and turmeric greasepaint. 

This dal form isn't only easy to digest but at the same time, it makes for a perfect lunch/ regale form. It tastes excellent when served with cooked rice, roti, lachcha paratha, or naan. 


Constituents

Mixed lentils( chana, tuvar, masoor, moong). Chana dal comes in 2 colors( green and unheroic), I've taken the green multicolored chana dal. 

Tomato 

Onion 

Gusto- garlic-chilly 

Asafoetida/ heeng 

Spices- turmeric, red chilly greasepaint, garam masala 

Ghee/ oil painting if vegan 

1 tablespoon cumin seeds 

½ inch cinnamon 

2 to 3 cloves 

2 green cardamoms 

1 tej patta or Indian bay splint 

 

Method. 

1. Soak the mixed lentils in a coliseum of water for 20- 30 twinkles. 

2. Add the lentils to a pressure cooker along with a pinch of turmeric greasepaint 

3. Also add 2 mugs of water 

4. Cook until 2 hisses and turn off the gas. Let it cool 

5. In a kadai or thick bottomed visage, heat1.5 teaspoon oil painting or ghee. 

6. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves, cardamoms and Indian bay splint 

7. also add 1 medium sized diced onions 

8. On a low to medium honey, stir frequently and saute till the onions turn light golden. Keep on stirring frequently so that they cook unevenly. 

9. Keep on stirring at intervals so that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the visage. 

10. also add 1 tablespoon crushed gusto, 1 tablespoon crushed garlic, 2 to 3 slit green chillies 

11. Now add the diced tomatoes. Stir and saute till the tomatoes are soften. 

12. also add turmeric greasepaint, red chilli greasepaint, coriander greasepaint, garam masala greasepaint and a pinch of asafoetida. 

13. Mix the spice maquillages with the rest of the onion- tomato masala 

14. Add the cooked dal and mix well 

15. poach the dal on a low honey till the dal thickess 

16. Garnish with some coriander leaves and serve the dhaba style dal hot with rotis or parathas or fumed rice or cumin rice or ghee rice. You can also do the dhungar system if you want and also serve the dal.
