The central government is giving free rations to the poor during the Koro period. The scheme of providing free foodgrains under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) has come to an end. But in some states free rations are still being given. The plan to give free rations to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been extended till the year 2021. On the other hand, the state government is once again distributing 10 kg of wheat free of cost and 2 kg of chickpeas per ration card to the destitute and needy families in Rajasthan who are not involved in the food security scheme. This distribution has been started at the ration shop.


Here's a few basic facts about a stomp pad and how it is used. Work is underway to link ration cards with Aadhaar or bank accounts in many states at the behest of the central government. Not only that, adding and deleting names in the old ration card with the new ration card is in progress.

Be especially careful if your ration card is not yet linked to Aadhaar or a bank account or your ration card has been suspended for several days. Update your ration card by March 31. It may be mentioned here that work is underway to update ration cards in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Delhi-NRC. The Bihar government has issued a notification to the Department of Food and Consumer Protection in this regard. In Bihar, if the ration card is not linked to Aadhaar by March 31, your ration card will be blocked.


March 31 deadline


Many states in the country can go to supply offices or link online ration cards sitting at home. At the direction of the Central Government, under the National Food Security Scheme, the Aadhaar number of all transport members is now required on the ration card. March 31, 2021 is the deadline. Your card will be blocked after this date.
