Secondary Service Selection Board Ad No. 212 has announced 4300 post recruitment. Around 22 cadres including Junior Clerk, Head Clerk, Office Assistant Senior Clerk will be recruited. Online form filling will start from 2:00 pm on 4th January. The form can be filled from 23-59 on the night of 31st January. The advertisement will be placed on the website by night and the advertisement will be published in all the newspapers tomorrow.

Candidates now have to be prepared to pay more exam fee for Gujarat Secondary Service Mandal Exam. Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board has decided to increase the exam fee. Instead of 111 rupees, Secondary Service Selection Board now Rs. 500 as examination fee. Candidates belonging to reserved category will get Rs. 400 examination fee has to be paid. Online payment facility will be provided to the candidates to pay the examination fee. This decision is being considered in the interest of the candidates preparing through the Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board.

Pay scale and age limit

According to the information provided by the Secondary Service, Research Assistant Class-III will be given a fixed salary of Rs 49,600 for five years. While Statistical Assistant Class-3 will be given a fixed salary of Rs 40,800. Also the age of the applying candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 37 years as on 16 January 2024.

Eligibility of candidates

Candidates for this recruitment should be majoring in Statistics or Applied Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Economics or Applied in any University established under an Act of the Parliament of India or State Legislature or an Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or an Educational Institution established as a University under Section-3 of the UGC Act 1856 Should have Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in Economics or Commerce Economics or Econometrics or Mathematics or Commerce Economics or Applied Mathematics or Advanced Statistics.

Should have passed the examination of computer skills prescribed as per Gujarat Civil Service Computer Efficiency (Training and Examination) Rules-2006 regarding computer knowledge. Candidate should have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Gujarati/Hindi. The upper age limit may be relaxed in favor of persons already in the service of the Government of Gujarat as per the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules - 1967 as amended from time to time.

The Gujarat government made some changes regarding the recruitment of class 3 in which the recruitment exam of Junior Clerk will be conducted through MCQ method. Earlier this exam was held separately. While the main written exam will be conducted for the recruitment of various 21 cadres including Head Clerk, Office Assistant. The official notification was released by the General Administration Department.
